Hungary at the Indonesian annual European Higher Education Fair

The Hungarian higher education was present at the Indonesian Higher Education Fair

Eleven Hungarian higher education institutions were represented at the annual European Higher Education Fair (EHEF) between 8-13 November in three major cities of Indonesia: Surabaya, Makassar, and Jakarta within the framework of the Campus Hungary Programme. In Jakarta, more than 13 000 people visited the fair and many people were interested in the country presentations of Hungary. The Hungarian Rectors' Conference and Tempus Public Foundation, both as organizers were also members of the Hungarian delegation.

Tempus Public Foundation supported to the representation of eleven Hungarian higher education institutions in Indonesia within the framework of Campus Hungary Programme. More than 20 000 visitors were interested in the higher education fairs in the three venues.

Indonesian students were most interested in scholarship opportunities, the most popular study fields were medical, engineering and business studies.

The Indonesian–Hungarian Higher Education Forum was organized for the second time by Tempus Public Foundation in Jakarta on the 7th of November. This year the theme of the conference was ’Good practices & cooperation’. The all-day event attracted more than 100 professional participants from all over Indonesia.

Beyond coordinating the joint Hungarian appearance, Tempus Public Foundation also provided general information about Hungary, about scholarship opportunities and directed students to the Hungarian higher education institutions which best fit to their interests. Hundreds of visitors were interested in country presentations about Hungary and Hungarian higher education held by representatives of Tempus Public Foundation.

The following Hungarian higher education institutions were represented at the fair: Corvinus University of Budapest, University of Debrecen, Eszterházy Károly College, Kaposvár University, Central European University, University of Miskolc, University of West Hungary, University of Pécs, Semmelweis University, University of Szeged and Szent István University. The Hungarian Rectors’ Conference was also member of the Hungarian delegation.
