OECD HEInnovate Country Review Hungary - Study visits

The OECD, the European Commission and the Hungarian Ministry of Human Capacities have agreed on proceeding the HEInnovate country review in Hungary in order to assess the innovation potential and entrepreneurial capacity of Hungarian HEIs.
Hungary was the fourth country where the OECD HEInnovate Country review has started with the Opening ceremony on the 7th December 2015. By authorisation of the Ministry of Human Capacities the local coordinator of the review is Tempus Public Foundation.
Between 29th February and 8th March the OECD led delegation of International and Hungarian experts has visited the appointed Hungarian universities (namely University of Debrecen, Eszterházy Károly University, Semmelweis University, Széchenyi István Univerity and Szent István University), and also met Hungarian professional and governmental bodies in order to identify key achivements, challanges of Hungarian HEIs in consideration of the 7 aspects of HEInnovate. The focus criteria of the visits were organisational capacity, enterpreneurial pathways at HEIs and knowledge exchange between HEIs and external partners.
By end of April the first findings and recommendations will be sent to the Ministry and the participating HEIs. The publishing of the final report and dissemination conference of the HEInnovate Country Review is planned for the autumn 2016.
