UET Mission
European University of Tirana (UET) is a leading higher education institution in Albania, established in full compliance with the requirements and criteria of the Bologna Charter, including study programmes in the three levels of study: BA; MA and Doctorates. UET engages in high quality teaching and research as well as exchange programmes and capacity building projects with local and international partners in the following major disciplines: law, social sciences, political sciences, economy and information technology as well as communication, design and arts. UET is particularly focused on research which is conducted through the Doctoral School, Departments and facilitated by Department of Research and Development. The internationalisation strategy and research programme of UET for the coming 5 years highlights establishment of cooperation and research activity at the Department of Communication and Design with a special focus on performing and visual arts. UET is already participating in projects funded by the European Commission, such as: Life Long Learning Programme – Jean Monnet Chair (for the first time in Albania) LLP – Tempus Project ( 3 Tempus project led by Graz University in Austria; Koblenz University in Germany and Roehampton University in UK) Erasmus Mundus – Sigma Agile (led by Warsaw University in Poland) European Programme for Science and Technology (COST) – participation in 3 COST Actions in the capacity of non-Cost Country; Erasmus + Key Action 1/Mobility for learners and staff – Credit Mobility (led by Óbuda University in Hungary), Erasmus+ Key Action 2/Capacity Building for Higher Education Institutions (2 projects led by University of Salzburg).
