5. Brief summary of the project:
It is a complex teaching pack.
Its special component is the teaching of horse riding culture, which establishes mounted law enforcement education. It is carried out in a 10-day camp. Its aim is to help students evolve skills in horse riding culture and in core competences needed in mounted police tasks. At the camp, students take part in mental trainings held by professionals, which enables them to acquire methods of handling crisis situations, to be able to gain mental balance, self-control, concentration, temperateness and rapid and adequate situation awareness. The enriching element of the camp is teaching archery.
Highly qualified mental trainers and instructors widely experienced in teaching horse riding guarantee the professional level of the camp.
At the same time and of the same duration with the camp, a 10-day training practice is held at the partner institutions. During this we show at what stage and with what schedule the special self-defence techniques can be introduced into the law enforcement education.
During classes of practical training, we highlight the specific features of this method: how the self-defence practices based on the combination of krav-maga and tae kwon do suit the age-appropriate particulars of the students’ target group, their previous knowledge, and how these practices can be adapted into the professional profile of law enforcement education.
The special component of the training practice: lectures on the European Union’s legal regulations concerning the region’s current issues, in particular the range of legal measures and norms of behaviour specified by the European Union.
The professional colleagues involved in the training practice are all widely experienced, active self-defence instructors working in law enforcement and lawyer teachers with many years of practice in law enforcement education They are mobile and prepared to transfer the self-defence and law modules of the best practice to the students and teachers of the partner schools.
We expect, principally, law enforcement and/or military schools and institutions of secondary education as partners.
