Project idea:
We invite you to join to the commemoration of victims of The War II and become our partners in the international project ‘Heartbreaking history and wish to life in the safe future unites us’. The main project’s idea – remembering the heartbreaking history about the coercion of the World War II, to promote the volunteering. In Lithuania, during the war and postwar period, the partisan movement was very active. However, very little attention is paid to take care of the partisan dislocation places. Partisan movement commemoration is more eternalised in museums or books, while the youth is more interested in studying the history by exploration.

During the project we will try: to promote the volunteering, to involve the youth to commemorate the victims of the war. Carry out the expeditions on the Lithuanian partisan war paths. To prepare the educational program and expedition routes for tourists and students, to get them know about Lithuanian partisan movement. To commemorate the heartbreaking experience of the partner European countries of the World War II.

More information about the project can be found in the attached document.

Project period and venue:
The project will take 18 months. We plan 4 events. Three events will be in Lithuania: 2017 Autumn; 2018 Spring and Summer. One event is expected to be in one of the foreign partner country in 2018 Autumn, if there were any requests. If no, the event may take place in Lithuania.

Partners searched:
We expect partners from schools providing general education, various nongovernmental organisations which promote volunteering or already work in this field and are not indifferent to the commemoration of the World War II victims. During the project partners should prepare presentations about the heartbreaking historical commemoration, participate in expeditions or other project activities. One of partners, if it is requested, according to the agreement, could organise the final project event in their own country.

We expect partners from:
Latvia, Estonia, Poland, Italy, Germany, France, Hungary, Croatia, Portugal.

We plan to cover partners’ arriving, accommodation and catering expenses.
For partners, who would like to organise an event in their own country, according to the agreement, we would cover the event organising expenses.
