Short description:
The Global Bubble Parade has been piloted by 100happydays foundation in 2016 with the mission to cultivate inclusive, resilient, mindful, diverse and open-minded communities via active social self-organization of people into local parades. The Parade is organized by people and for people and can be hosted by anyone and anywhere as it spreads its mission across cultures, races and geographical borders. In 2016 the Global Bubble Parade has taken place in over 70 cities and reached close to 1 000 000 people.

According to the UN, “happiness is the ultimate pursuit of a human being”. Considering this unifying quality of happiness, we want to involve diverse groups of local people to unite together in a parade around something that we all strive for and what’s common among all of us – our wish to be happy. Soap bubble has been chosen as a symbol of happiness due to its association with childhood, joy and lightness.

The Global Bubble Parade is organized by local hosts across European countries on the same day to create the feeling of being part of a bigger mission – within their city, their country and the European Union as a whole. Every event will focus on creating interactions across diverse groups of local inhabitants.

The Global Bubble Parade acts as a catalyzer for creating the movement of socially active people who are willing to take action for increasing well-being in their local communities and who can activate local people around the cause. As part of the project, these local community leaders will get coaching and leadership development to increase their local impact and to facilitate the organization of local events, campaigns and projects.

Main responsibility of partners: to host the Global Bubble Parade in their city / country on May 28, 2016, and/or May 27, 2018.

Important Notice: The events will take place regardless of the funding decision, therefore, we prioritize partners who want to take part in this project regardless of financial support.
