Challenges before the European citizens

About the organisation:
Association Seven is Bulgarian NGO created in 2007 and working in the field of cinema. We organize film educational events, seminars, discussions, workshops, screenings and round tables on different cinema topics. Our work involves professionals and film lovers in Bulgaria and internationally.

About the project ideas:
1. Authors rights (Copyrights) in the digital era for the future of Europe: the perspective of authors regarding common European law framework. This project will analyze existing regulations in member-states for sharing content online and copyrights. The idea will be to explore the extent to which a European regulation can override national policies on copyrights in the digital era.

2. The present of Europe through cinema: the challenges before the European citizens. The participating organizations in this project will be asked to select 2-3 movies that represent the most recent history of the respective country [for example, Bulgaria will present a movie on the fight against corruption]. All selected movies will be screened in the participating countries and followed by discussions on the selected topic. The ultimate goal of this project is to provoke debates, raise awareness among European citizens about issues other countries are dealing with and exchange good practices.

Any type of cinema products will be eligible to participate – action, historical, documentary, animation, television formats, etc.
