Development of innovative competences of earth science engineering students by online challenges

Development of innovative and soft competences of students studying in engineering programs is an important objective of the training. These competences can be efficiently developed by extra-curricular activities, such as online challenges for student groups, where a complex problem or a dataset should be deeply analysed and interpreted. In the last year, earth science engineer students from the University of Miskolc have been participated successfully in three global challenges, as joint participation of Hungarian and international students and as participants in an international team.
