The Hungarian Diaspora Scholarship Programme is now accepting applications for higher education studies starting in the academic year 2023-24. The programme aims to support those who wish to rediscover and reconnect to their Hungarian heritage and want to improve their Hungarian language skills and cultural knowledge as well.

Degree seekers with Hungarian heritage can choose from hundreds of Bachelor’s, Master’s, Doctoral programmes or postgraduate special training courses (offered mostly in English or Hungarian) at 28 Hungarian higher education institutions. Application for 1 or 2 semester-long partial studies is also possible, including Hungarian language courses. The scholarship covers a tuition-free education, medical insurance, and upon request, a contribution to the accommodation and travel cost and a monthly stipend.

The application is open to students from all countries of the world, except the Member States of the European Union, the Republic of Serbia and the Zakarpatska region of Ukraine. Consult the Call for Applications for further criteria and exceptions!
