International good practice demonstrations and professional networking are the focus of the PROFFORMANCE international webinar series, where participants can learn about the teaching methodologies of higher education in 6 countries.
PROFFORMANCE+ Thematic webinar series for higher education teachers
The program is based on the PROFFORMANCE educational excellence database, which contains about 130 higher education methodological good practices submitted by 6 countries' educators and professional communities for the 2021/2022 PROFFORMANCE Higher Education Teacher Award.
The webinars are planned to consist of two parts. In the first part, participants can learn about and discuss good practices related to the given topic, while in the second part, they can choose from various activities. There will be an opportunity to learn the relevant part of the PROFFORMANCE assessment tool and engage in knowledge exchange, and professional networking with the other participants.
The PROFFORMANCE project aims to improve the quality of teaching and learning through the support of higher education teachers. The project's main product is the PROFFORMANCE assessment tool, which examines teaching performance from 6 thematic areas (student-centred course design, teaching and learning, student work evaluation, social impact, professional development, organization and administration), 4 main priority areas (digitization, internationalization, inclusion, sustainability), from 3 perspectives (self, peer, and student).
The international teacher award categories followed the thematic areas of the assessment tool so that the good examples in the database can provide opportunities for teachers to improve their teaching, get inspiration and establish new professional partnerships. The project aims to provide a forum for professional community building and meetings among higher education professionals, teachers, institutional leaders, quality assurance experts, and policymakers.
Planned topics of the webinar series:
- Student-centred course design
- Innovative teaching and learning
- Student work evaluation
- Social impact
- Digitalization in education
- Internationalization in education
- Inclusion in education
- Sustainability in education
The first session of the series is expected to take place on March 28, 2023, and will focus on student-centred course design. Please mark your calendar. The language of the webinar is English. Participation is free of charge, but registration is required.
