A new International Standard Classification of Education (ISCED) online tool has been developed by the Tempus Public Foundation and recently, approved by the European Commission as an Erasmus+ tool. It aims to facilitate the search among the fields of education and training and their correspondences in the three code systems.
Following the UNESCO′s revision of the ISCED fields of education and training classification during its 37th General Conference in November 2013, the European Commission elaborated a preliminary list of ISCED 2013 detailed fields, indicating the correspondences with the previous Fields of Education and Training 1999 classification (FOET 1999 – based on ISCED 1997).
The Tempus Public Foundation, acting as the Hungarian National Agency, has completed the list by adding the former Erasmus codes and developed a search tool, which allows your institutions to find easily the fields of education and training and their correspondences in the three code systems.
The ISCED-F 2013 search tool has just been published on the Erasmus+ website under Erasmus+ Tools, available here.
ISCED 2013 have to be used in the Interinstitutional Agreements, Learning Agreements and Mobility tool from the academic year 2014-2015.
