First Gathering of International Institutional Ambassadors Marks a Milestone in Collaborative Teaching Development

The first PROFFORMANCE Network Meet-Up brought together over 50 higher education professionals from 42 institutions across 8 countries, marking the launch of a new phase in international collaboration for teaching and learning enhancement.

Participants responded to the open Call for PROFFORMANCE Ambassadors, stepping forward to play a key role in the network’s mission to support  development of teaching and learning in higher education.

The event served as the inaugural gathering of institutional ambassadors committed to advancing teaching excellence and innovation through the use of the PROFFORMANCE Assessment Tool (PAT).

During the event, participants received a comprehensive introduction to the PROFFORMANCE project, its tools, and the growing international IPA network. A testimonial from an experienced Institutional PROFFORMANCE Ambassador, Dorina Kissné Fajcsák, offered valuable insights into real-life implementation and impact at the institutional level. The hands-on tutorial session equipped new ambassadors with practical guidance on how to successfully carry out the PAT pilot in their own institutions.

All participating ambassadors pledged to pilot the PAT in their institutions by July 15, helping to shape and refine its future application through their hands-on experience and feedback.

Those who demonstrate strong commitment and active engagement will have the opportunity to join the upcoming PROFFORMANCE Simulation Game, scheduled for October 2025 in Budapest. This interactive event will bring together more than 100 national, institutional, and individual representatives. Participants will simulate a full institutional teaching and learning development cycle, aligned with the continuous development model promoted by PROFFORMANCE.

The PROFFORMANCE Network continues to grow as a dynamic space for collaboration, peer learning, and impactful institutional change. This first ambassadorial meet-up marks a significant step toward our shared goal: advancing teaching and learning quality across the European Higher Education Area.
