Fostering the career orientation, course correction and labour-market reintegration of persons with changed working capacity by learning about new types of training and VET methods.

This year our organisation is going to submit a project proposal within the Erasmus+ KA2 Strategic Partnerships – Cooperation for innovation and the exchange of good practices programme type, in the topic of supporting people with reduced capacity to work in returning to the labour-market with vocational education and training. In Hungary the employment of this target group is a challenge and by learning from each other we would be able to improve the employment situation and training possibilities of these people.

The aim of the project will be to foster the career orientation, course correction and labour-market reintegration of persons with changed working capacity by learning about new types of training and VET methods. The target group – besides persons with reduced working capacity – are leaders and professionals of organisations responsible for the education, VET and employment policy of participating countries.

Presentation of specific topics: the labour-market situation of persons with changed working capacity is significantly worse than other members’ of the society – especially in Hungary. Their poor labour-market position is heavily influenced by social disadvantages (low level of education, the small number of suitably adapted workplaces, the difficulties of accessing complex rehabilitation programmes) and in order to terminate these disadvantages, or at least influence them, we need new methods and professionals with fresh approaches. Our goal is to learn about selected and successfully applied methods and good practices in partner countries that are improving the situation of the target group and foster their employment by services tailored to their needs. It is particularly important to provide a broader access to acquire qualifications demanded by the labour-market for people with changed working capacity.

Expected results: by learning about good practices, by the exchange of experiences among participating countries and by adopting the acquired methods and building them into domestic practice members of the target group can find opportunities that may open up new ways to develop themselves in order to find employment. By applying newly acquired methods the target group’s segregation should decline and their feeling of being a useful member of society can be strengthened.
