Improving Quality & Relevance of TVET
Executive summaryThis project aims to enhance TVET quality and relevance in the selected competitive industries (information technology, multimedia, Industrial Automation, and Beauty and hair care and skin care) of Palestine and support the consolidation of a National System of Labor Skills Certification and two-year program diploma.
The project focused in particular on the TVET system by analyzing the existing system and providing improvement measures at the national, regional and industrial level.
The Palestinian state is enjoying economic growth, creating many new jobs in the technical vocational field , Many of these jobs require a solid education and technical skills, The ability of the Hisham Hijjawi college of technology as a Palestine TVET institute to provide needed skills to the labor force will partly determine how rapidly the region’s economy will grow, As part of its sweeping efforts to transform and grow the Palestine technical vocation education system, we focus in this project to Improving Quality & Relevance of TVET for ( information technology, multimedia, Industrial Automation, and Beauty and hair care and skin care) diploma program in three main activity as follow :-
- Collaboration with the Private Sector : In contrast to most other countries, the involvement of private-sector employers or trade unions in the governance, content, or management of TVET programs
- Curriculum: The need to modernize the curricula in all TVET programs is acute. Most curricula are reportedly 3 to 5 years old, if not older.
- Teaching Equipment: The quality and relevance of the TVET training that students receive depend on large part on whether the theories and equipment used in the training are up to date, and understand the teacher how it works effectively on this equipment’s by participating in a study and training tour outside of the country
The project will be managed by College Dean and assisted by the College administration.
The total amount requested from the project is estimated to be euro 500,000
The project is anticipated to begin as soon as the proposal is approved and the implementation agreement and funds are finalized. With an expected duration of 36months.
